Pet Crushing

Once the bottles are collected and sorted, they are sent to a crushing or shredding unit. In this step, the PET bottles are reduced into smaller pieces, called PET flakes, making them suitable for use in subsequent stages of the production process.

In-house Crushing and Supplier Collaboration: Khalis Fiber adopts a balanced approach with 50% of its PET crushing capacity being in-house while the other 50% comes from EPA registered & tax compliant PET suppliers. This flake is re-crushed to our standard size, optimum for fiber conversion This collaboration not only optimizes the utilization of resources but also supports local businesses.
